Our design team IS our build team, allowing us to incorporate feedback from construction into design, maximizing quality, building performance, and material / labor efficiency. This feedback is frequently lost in the traditional build process, where the designer doesn't collaborate with the builder leading to mistakes and oversights that compromise quality, efficiency, energy performance and the project budget.
Position: On-Staff Carpenter
Location: Denver, CO
Responsibilities and Duties:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable On-Staff Carpenter to join our construction team.
This role involves performing a wide range of carpentry tasks, completing onsite punch lists,
coordinating with subcontractors, and assisting with site supervision. The ideal candidate has
strong hands-on carpentry experience, is detail-oriented, and can effectively manage small
teams or subcontractors on-site.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualifications:
Perform General Carpentry Tasks:
- Framing, trim, doors, cabinetry, hardware installation, and other finish carpentry.
- Rough and finish work as needed to support ongoing site activities.
Onsite Punch List Completion:
- Identify, document, and resolve outstanding work items to meet project closeout
standards. - Perform touch-ups, adjustments, and repairs as required to complete punch list
tasks.
Site Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors to ensure timely task execution.
- Assist in scheduling and sequencing of subcontractor work in collaboration with
the project team. - Ensure that site work by trades meets company quality and safety standards.
Site Supervision Support:
- Monitor daily jobsite activities and report progress to the project manager or
superintendent. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Enforce safety regulations and company policies on site when in a supervisory
role.
Quality Control:
- Inspect work completed by subcontractors and carpentry staff to ensure
compliance with project plans and specifications. - Proactively identify and address construction issues or deficiencies.
Materials & Tools:
- Manage carpentry tools, materials, and supplies.
- Assist in material take-offs, ordering, and tracking inventory related to carpentry
tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience in residential or commercial construction.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Experience with punch list work and general site coordination.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Demands:
- Work is performed primarily on active construction sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- May be required to work extended hours depending on project deadlines.
Job Type: Full-Time

- Competitive hourly wage ($25-$40 per hour based on experience)
