Position: Field Engineer

Location: Lakewood, CO

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supports operations/crews in the installation of work activities by assisting in the understanding of drawings and specifications
• Ensure proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are worn
• Follow all health and safety policy and regulations
• Coordinate utility locates in timely manner and update as needed
• Participate in site investigations, project handoff and start-up, update, and closeout meetings as needed
• Assist Project Manager in creating, updating, and utilizing schedule information to help determine required materials, subcontractor scheduling, staffing, and other aspects of project management
• Help in preparing, organizing, and coordinating RFI, submittal, and invoicing documents related to assigned scope of work
• Inventory, organize, procure, and maintain materials and tooling for work activities
• Assist in determining pricing options for potential change orders
• Assist Estimating department in plan take offs, spec review, cost gathering, preparation of estimates and proposals
• Solicit new bidding opportunities, research plans for potential opportunities
• Perform archive filing and historical cost data gathering
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Extensive travel and presence at different jobsites throughout the United States required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualifications:

• Detail oriented sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Applicable mathematical skills
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
• Proven positive and professional attitude
• Strong customer service and multi-tasking skills
• Current driver’s license
• Background, Motor Vehicle Record, and Drug Screening
• Travel required
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel required. B2W, CAD, and/or MS Project experience a plus

Education:

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar or equivalent experience

Underground Infrastructure Technologies, LLC (UIT), a Harrison Western Company, is a full-service utility contractor specializing in trenchless technologies such as TBM, MTBM, GAB, hand Tunnels and pipe rams. UIT preforms wet and dry utility installations to complete projects, large or small. We provide solutions for utility construction under roadways, railroads, buildings and waterways. Tunneling can range in size from 12 inches to over 42 feet in diameter. UIT is located west of the Denver metro area, in Lakewood, Colorado.

Due to growth, we are currently looking for a Field Engineer to join our team. Field Engineers ensure the job stays on schedule and provides support to Operations and Project Engineers. Organization, flexibility, outstanding customer focus, strong communication, and ability to multitask are important in performing duties of this project/field-based role. This position is critical to the success of Harrison Western.

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range of $65,000 – $75,000/year DOE
