Position: Concrete Laborer

Location: Denver, CO

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Clean job site of debris to eliminate possible hazards, ensure a safe job site by removing nails from lumber, clean up trash and demolition debris, and clean and organize forms after dismantled.
• Clean and organize forms/materials, work truck, stakes, and lay down the yard on job sites.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure that equipment is in proper working condition and maintain supplies found on a work vehicle, such as gas, oil, and water.
• Lubricate and clean machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Install and tie rebar and wire mesh, cap rebar.
• Use picks, shovels, and rakes to grade dirt and concrete efficiently and accurately.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures.
• Assist in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete and dismantling structures after use.
• Load and unload trucks of materials.
• Report any unsafe work practices or safety hazards encountered on the job to the Foreman / Foreman Lead.
• May be required to perform tasks from other job descriptions depending on available work and schedules, i.e., wall/foundation building as form setter, earthwork, etc.

Education and Experience:

• 0 – 6 Months of experience in a similar position/industry skills and continuing education:
  • Learn the responsibilities of the position within 30 days.
  • Learn to operate equipment, power tools, tamper, skid steer, and forklift under direct supervision.
  • Accomplish core job duties with minimal supervision.
  • Continue your concrete industry education and knowledge.

Compensation:

• $18.00 – $22.00 / hour (DOE)
